At A Crossroads I hesitate... A Poem by Katie Gosse
Standstill at a crossroad I hesitate
People probing me in both directions
Some whisper the truth I already know, as my soul agrees with them I give a heavy sigh...”I know”
Just let me stand here for a while I start to beg
Why do I need permission from them to think?
I Get to stand still, wait, and look at the two options before me
Contemplate with true sincerity knowing that I have all the knowledge regarding these decisions that they don’t
I get to stand, wait, look, and listen to myself..
Listen to God
Jesus these cross roads are as reliable as your grace
These decisions remind me that I am free, that I get to be grateful for the opportunity to decide for myself
My prayer is that I decide with you
By your strength, by your courage, by your power Lord, lead me by your light
Psalm 32:8 “The Lord says “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life, I will advise you and watch over you.”
